Preparing wedding response cards
A wedding date is finalized and the bride or the groom and their families sit down to prepare a list of people they wish invite for the wedding. Once the list is finalized, the bigger task is to confirm the number of people attending the wedding so that all the arrangements could be made appropriately. But confirming the guest list is always very difficult since few would actually call back and say that they have received the wedding cards sent and would be attending the wedding to bless the couple. Wedding is a one time affair and both the families from bride and bride groom's side would not like to leave single stone unturned to make it successful. Then how could they confirm the guest list while all other arrangements are being finalized? Wedding cards with response card attached to it is a great idea. Response cards with wedding cards make them breath a sigh of relief since these response cards give them an idea about the number of people, who would be present at the wedding.
If wedding cards are sent with no response card with it, could be taken as open invitation for all members of the family, who wish to attend the wedding, increasing the count of people expected increasing tremendously. Even though wedding cards may be addressed to Mr and Mrs of a particular family but if there is no response card attached with the wedding cards then they might even get their children along, who would not be expected. It is not easy to call each and every person invited to confirm whether they would be attending the wedding, among all the other tasks waiting to be completed. Plus you would not be able to put it rightly on the phone if you do not want the children or friends or anyone else to attend the wedding apart from the names mentioned on the wedding cards.
Response cards sent with the wedding cards play a major role in reducing the effort of calling people personally. There are several ways of sending response cards with the wedding cards. You can choose the design complementing the wedding cards. You could either get it printed from the person who printed the wedding cards for you. But this could invite some extra expense, in stead you could buy the similar looking plain cards and print them on your home printer after typing the wordings on the computer personally. If you only say that please confirm your attendance on so and so wedding date, on the response cards sent with the wedding cards then people might just take you for granted and get more number of people then expected. But if you address the response cards with wedding cards to the people you want to attend the wedding then it would serve the purpose. Though it may be difficult to get the names printed from the stationer since it would be expensive too, you could ask your friend or bridesmaid to do the needful and then gift her something to thank the efforts.
